Dry January Mocktails: Strongwater Bitters & Willie's Remedy Sparkling Chamomile

After the holidays, it's nice to take a break from the booze and start the year on a fresh note. Dry January is a commitment to do just that. The benefits of going alcohol-free for the month include better sleep, less anxiety, weight-loss, and more cash in the bank. And there's no better Dry January sidekick than your friend, CBD!

A few of the ehemp hempsters are taking on Dry January and we're getting bored with soda and La Croix. So we decided to take a crack at concocting a few mocktails using some of our favorite beverages on the site.

The Orange Bitters Refresh

What you'll need for an individual drink:

  • 1/4 teaspoon of Strongwater Hemp Infused Orange Bitters
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons of simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup of orange juice
  • 1/2 cup of ginger beer

Optional rim garnish:

  • 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • lime wedge

Make your drink:

  1. Prep your glass. Cut your lime wedge and rim it around the glass. On a plate, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Dip the rim onto the plate and twirl it in the sugar mixture. Put ice into your glass.
  2. Mix the drink. Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice except for the ginger beer. Give your drink a couple of shakes and pour the mixture into your glass. Top it off with the ginger beer and stir.
  3. Garnish. Add the lime wedge and enjoy.

We all know drinks are better with friends. To make this for 8, use 1 cup of maple syrup, 2 cups of orange juice, 3/4 cup simple syrup, 2 teaspoons of Strongwater hemp-infused orange bitters, 1 cup lime juice and 4 cups of ginger beer.

People don't usually think about tea and cocktails (well, unless it's a long island) but for this recipe, we're putting a new spin on a traditional evening herbal beverage.

Willie's Remedy Sparkling Chamomile 

What you'll need for an individual drink:

Make your drink:

  1. Prep your drink. Create a cold brew of the chamomile tea. Add one or two spoonfuls of Willie's Remedy Hemp-infused loose leaf tea to 3/4 cup of cold water. Cover and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight (based on how strong you want the tea).
  2. Mix the drink. Strain the tea leaves from the cold brew and pour into a glass over ice. Add a spoonful of honey and stir in until it dissolves. Top off your drink with a splash of club soda and stir again. Add some loose leaf tea for garnish.
